Its a Franchise from the one in Spain. Yes, similar but the Singapore one is much larger with a pool and 2 jacuzzis and the food varies. the one is Spain is really just a cafe by the sea

I spoke with a couple of the staff there. They are indeed moving away from the whole music/deejay/party concept and focusing more on the food. It’s great news! There aren’t many places with good food along the Sentosa beaches, so Café del Mar can fill that void.

Looks like we both have a soft spot for tomato-based seafood pastas :D High five!

Since you like seafood pasta, you may like squid ink pasta, too!

I haven’t been to Ibiza myself (would love to though!) so I can’t comment on whether the two are similar. But I hear that the Café del Mar in Singapore is a franchise of the one in Ibiza.

Looks like they are becoming more serious about the quality of the food served there. From the looks of the pics, it appears that pastas here are better than the meat or paella dishes.

Will certainly check it out the next time we pop over to Sentosa.
