I guess you kinda pay a “premium” for the ambience! But when it comes to memorable and unique dining experience, this is one place that never disappoints. It’s great for special occasions, and yes, for impressing overseas visitors :)

When it comes to location and accessibility, I do agree. Rochester Park is near the main road and all the restaurants are close by. But I think you can probably find more dining options at Dempsey?

I know what you mean. It’s similar to eating Zi Char :)

Communal dining is hardly a new concept for us Chinese. When we go to a Chinese restaurant, we typically order a mixture of dishes for sharing!

Haha expected. I will spray myself with insect repellent before going there.

When it first started it was quiet and intimate. But these days it is noisy and crowded. The only thing that still makes it “exclusive” is that you have to drive to access some of the places, hardly a good thing. I still prefer Rochester Park, which after all these years have yet to lose its charm.

The sauce is fantastic! Hard to put it in words. Guess you just have to try it for yourself.

Speaking of mozzies, we did experience a few insect bites. That’s one of the downsides of dining outdoor.

So would I! It has that Arabian feel. I used to have a canopy over my bed. It looked great!

Another vote for the canopy tent! The canopy net can be put down to block out mozzies too hahaha

Now I know where to take my friends who are visiting from overseas. However, the prices are abit steep – in line with Dempsey Hill but I guess you pay for the ambience and unique dining experience!

You said it right. This place certainly has all the ingredients for greatness!

I should thank you, really. After all you’re the one who introduced me to Rochester Park 3 years ago!

Pretty impressive how that area transformed itself. The ingredients for greatness were always sorta there I guess. The inside looks so sumptuous. Though I must admit the canopy table is brilliant!! Gah, me want!!
