My second visit was last nite was a pure disaster!
June 6 2011.

The food arrived quick,I had quarter chicken with fries, the chicken was completely dry and hard like it had been kept overnite and then roasted again!
We told the server the food was dry and hard…..he just smiled and walked off…..hmmm

The other dish we had was fish n chips….
It arrived a few mins after the chicken.
The fish is coated with flour and bread crumbs so it should be fried till a nice golden brown and will be crispy….. Right?

Haha…it was soggy with oil and of course not in the least bit crispy or even close!
This happens when u throw the fish into the fryer that is not properly heated.
Once again, told the server and as usual, he just smiles and walks away.

Wasted $20 on food not fit for consumption.

My verdict, don’t waste ur money and time going there.
They do not care about the quality of the food they will serve u.

I see. I wonder if the standard of the food has remained the same after the change in management.

Hmm… this is a coffee shop stall so I don’t really expect to be served my cutlery. I’m used to getting my own cutlery at coffee shops, hawker centres and food courts. Anyway the cutlery, chilli sauce and barbecue sauce are all at the same place.

Gotta take our own and there’s only plastic ones. Maybe I came at a wrong time cuz it’s a Sunday and pretty crowded but bringing fork, spoon & knife along isn’t a hard job right? they shd improve their service and serve like ‘botak jones’ do!.

I’ve missed the steaks from my resident years in Oz-Nz and have yet to find anything close to them here in the Lion City. Steaks are tiny over here. There’s a place in Wellington, NZ “The Green Parrot” which serves brontosaurus-sized T-bones and they were awesome! Ah yes, good ol’ Aotearoa!

Thanks babe! Actually I hardly go to KL. Are there any shops in Singapore that sell similar beautiful things? I know there was one such shop in front of the Sultan Mosque at Kampong Glam. But I’m not sure if it’s still there. By the way is this kind of floral design considered Victorian style? That’s what I always thought it is.

Your chicken licking good photos made me wanna lick my screen! This is no time to feel hungry. Argh!

And next time I would try the Greek, Caesar and seafood salads!

By the way I read your journal and saw the beautiful things you bought in KL early this year. I wish I knew where to get hold of those items you did during my recent trip there! I only managed to buy a cushion with a floral, lacy cover in the same Victorian style as those stuff you bought.
