I think there is nothing wrong in charging higher prices for standard dishes as long as there is a significant refinement such as using chicken that has been eating organic corn, drinking beer, getting massages and enjoying unlimited free time outdoors (Kobi equivalent).

Having said that, it seems customers are willing to pay high prices for something basic so it makes good business sense:)

I heard that there are a few chicken rice stalls around the island that are run by former chefs from Chatterbox. The prices are a fraction of that at Chatterbox. I’m not sure about the food quality though.

for the same price, i’d rather eat somewhere else. but i think you will probably want to eat it there at least once in your lifetime, if you can afford it, just so you can say you’ve been there, done that.
