Wow, Chinatown looks fun! The last time I went there I only saw food stalls, and some handicrafts, I think.

You don’t say! Our prices increase but the portions don’t appear any bigger. But at Kaiton you totally feel as though time hasn’t passed. Everything has stayed constant for the past 5 years! The place looks the same, the food just as good and cheap as always!

The sauce must be really exceptional then! I’m amazed that they haven’t increased their prices in the past 5 years. Over here our chicken rice has gone from $2 -> $2.50 -> $3 in many places!

The chicken is tender and non-oily. You don’t get the same chicken fat and sesame oil-laden meat and rice like the Hainanese chicken rice in Singapore. The taste is definitely milder as a result, but the sauce does its magic :)

It’s a roadside stall along Petchaburi Road. If you take the taxi, the driver should be able to drive you to the right eatery. Their khao mun kai is famous!
