Wow! I wonder how much it costs a night for a room with free-flowing shark’s fun and bird’s nest!

First visit to your redesign site, somehow I still prefer the earlier version.

Have you been to the casinos at Vegas ? Some of them actually have 2 hot pots in the hotel rooms, filled with bird nests n shark fins soup. They r refilled as n when they r half full.

And guess what, they come free of charge !

Regards

:p

When we first went there, we found the restaurant rather small. That may be the reason why it can cater only to the in-house guests.

That’s bad news for those of us wanting to have a taste of the bird nest eggtart after hearing your rave review. Hope they will change their policy.

One of the staff at Resorts World Sentosa has just confirmed that The Dining Room is open only to Crockfords Tower Hotel guests.

Meanwhile she gave me a list of restaurants that are open to the public: Palio, Starz, Rang Mahal, Chili’s, Rock Deli To Go, Boulangerie and Fiesta.

I have a review for Boulangerie coming up soon (it’s a bakery at the Festive Hotel lobby). As for Chili’s, here’s my review for their Tanglin Mall restaurant. The menu should be similar at Sentosa.

That is news to me, too! The staff hadn’t mentioned anything like that to me even as I was inquiring about their opening hours. I have dropped a mail to someone at RWS with your questions. Hope to get some answers soon.

I just called The Dining Room and was surprised to find out that they only allow hotel guests and by invitation only.. (sadly i’m on neither of the lists), will you know any other good affordable restaurants that allows the general public?

Love how you post up entry after entry, uploading all the pictures and write your reviews all so beautifully. But i still prefer the previous design which was more sophisticated and more professional-looing!! This current one may albeit be more user-friendly but the previous design is definitely prettier!

Okay! I know what you mean about that aftertaste. I’m not very fond of crumbly, flaky pastries myself especially if they are dry. My mom loves them though, especially pineapple tarts and those char siew crumbles. Egg tarts are still yummy for me because of the moist egg custard :)

Can you easily find bird’s nest and egg tarts in LA? I imagine you can simply make your own bird’s nest egg tart. Wow, the virgin experience of eating one really sticks with you. Where did you have it before?

Yeah, certainly not a budget restaurant. The prices fall within same the range of the popular Chinese restaurant chains.

I vaguely remember having the Xiao Long Bao at Din Tai Fung although it did not leave me with a long lasting impression. After a while they all start to taste similar, except for the really good ones.
