In reply to Kayla @ Fitter Than Choc. Yup, I googled around and couldn't find any palm fruit ice cream other than Swensen's. While the ice cream does taste pretty good, it is made sweeter by the fact that it goes a little way to helping people in Cambodia :)

In reply to Three-Cookies. Palm sugar is more fragrant than normal sugar. The ice cream is not very sweet, and I'm not sure if it's because palm sugar is less sweet than regular sugar. I do like the all-natural flavour.

Kudos to Swensen’s for the great initiative. I adore palm sugar – it’s low in GI, and has a touch of caramel flavour to it. It’s my first time hearing of ice cream made with palm sugar though.I’m sure it must be pretty good:)

If eating ice cream will help those in Cambodia, I would gladly inhale pints of ice cream!

Fantastic initiative my Swensens, even better that they have priced it lower. I won’t be surprised if they receive a CSR award.
