ROFL those videos are hilarious!!! The Michael Jackson one is my favourite hahahaha

I went to Hong Kong in end July/early August as that was my birthday trip. Yes, it was raining all the time! Next time round I definitely must pick better weather lol

Oh, thanks for the warning! That’s actually one of my favourite vegetable dishes, although I don’t have it very often. Almost every Chinese restaurant here would have it.

I am not Cantonese myself and don’t understand the language. In Singapore, there are a few major dialect groups among the Chinese. The common ones are Hokkien/Fujian (myself), Cantonese/Guangdong and Teochew/Chaozhou.

what time did u go HK last time indeed ? It is mostly good weather in HK and Macau similar as it is close to HKG. Only July-Aug may have storm days, but people enjoy to go seaside near pier to watch such big pouring rain and experience the windy for fun as we can see on tV and youtude. hahah

and specially worth a look here how our TV news reporter perform MJ moonwalk in typhoon:

other than such extreme weather, other days are mostly fine, Autumn in oct to dec would be performance less hot and no storm.

Here, the restaurants and food sellers usually stir-fry vegetables with belachan and they taste really good. One vegetable that is commonly cooked this way is the Kangkong (not sure if it is a common dish in Hong Kong).

Yes, that was one hectic day and I barely had any sleep! But time was running out. The rainy weather also stopped me from visiting many places that I wanted to see. Thank goodness for the 24 hour turbojet, I could go to Macau and make it back to Hong Kong in the wee hours.

Next time round, I would take your advice and go for a longer trip. What is the best time of the year to visit Hong Kong? Hopefully it would be cool and non-rainy :)

Oh my goodness, I would never have guessed! Here, we call this shrimp paste “belachan“. I’ve never seen them in such blocks. Thanks for enlightening me!

Bridge of Friendship in English and 澳門友誼大橋 in Traditional Chinese.

As its suggested by it’s name, it’s named after the long established friendship between the Chinese and the Portuguese

Huishan was actually two or three years my senior in secondary school. But the funny thing is that we never met! We got to know each other through online gamng.

Other than the fact that my travelling partner would have to carry my shopping bags (if it’s a guy) or that I am quite particular when it comes to picking places to eat at, I think I make a fine travelling partner!
